Maps of France and Grand Bornand

Le Grand Bornand is in the Northern part of the French Alps close to the Swiss City of Geneva and the French city of Annecy. Geneva airport is just an hour away by car and has regular flights to and from the UK as well as other European cities.
It takes around 8 hours to drive from Calais to the chalet. On the Autoroute follow the signs to Reims (A26), then Lyon (A26/A5), then Geneva (A39), then Chamonix (A40).
Please use a modern road atlas, the A39 opened in 2000 and saves both time and distance.

If you come by car from the Geneva direction we recommend you take the A40 Motorway to Bonneville and follow the signs to le Grand Bornand.
If you come from the Lyon direction we recommend you come off the A41 at Annecy Nord, follow the signs to Thones and then to Le Grand Bornand. Both routes are clearly marked all the way.

Once you reach the village, turn left at the first roundabout and then left at the Give Way sign. Go on up the hill and at the second hairpin, turn left, signposted "La Communaille". The chalet is 100m on the left.
